Job description

As Regional Sales Manager you will work closely with the Sales Manager Spain to expand our customer base and achieve sales targets for a specific region of our company, while taking accountability for reaching targets and growth objectives. Ultimately, you will manage your region and team to ensure that you meet or exceed the expectations of our business targets and contributes to our company’s success in the long run.

The specific region assigned to this role includes Comunidad Valenciana, Murcia and Andalucia. And you will be leading a team of 4 field sales based in Valencia, Alicante, Málaga and Sevilla.

What would be your responsibilities and duties?

  • Managing and leading regional sales teams to drive sales targets and inspire high performance in line with set KPIs and targets

  • Achieving your own individual sales targets and KPIs

  • Experience in hiring, training, managing performance, and terminating employees

  • Cold calling and on site / offices visiting experience

  • Identifying and acquiring new customers, as well as up-selling to existing customer bases across the region

  • Effectively managing and driving the sales cycle from prospection through to successful closure

  • Building and maintaining relationships with key customers and accounts for growth and retention

  • Building strong relationships with accounts in the region

  • Growing a sustainable and robust sales pipeline and ensuring accurate and rigorous forecasting and account planning

  • Developing & implementing sales strategies and plans to meet revenue goals

  • Conducting market research and competitor analysis in the region

  • Prepare regular reports and conduct monthly meetings to review performance

  • Representing the company at regional events and trade shows

  • Analysing market trends and competitors’ activities in the region

  • Developing and managing regional sales budgets and expenses

  • Maximise revenue and profits in all sales opportunities

  • Advising the sales manager, managing director, product management and group management on opportunities and threats in the market and possible adjustment of the commercial strategy based on his/her own experiences and data collected.

  • Full compliance with all H&S requirements, including use of correct PPE at all times.

Job requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need experience in managing a small team or leading projects, a strong track record in B2B sales, including prospecting and building relationships with key decision-makers, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a goal-oriented mindset with the ability to meet and overachieve targets. We are looking for a highly motivated and energetic individual who brings a proactive attitude to the team—someone who naturally inspires and challenges colleagues to perform at their best. You combine a rigorous, analytical mindset with the ability to follow established processes while also contributing to the development and improvement of new ones.

Formal qualifications

  • Sales experience:

    • Secondary vocational education or equivalent

    • 7+ years of sales experience preferably in a multinational company

    • Experience in B2B sales and business development

  • Experience of managing teams:

    • 3+ years of experience in sales management

    • Proven ability to lead and motivate sales teams, both in-person and remotely, to achieve sales targets

    • Experience in coaching and developing sales teams, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective training strategies

  • Happy to travel around Spain: including overnight stays (paid expenses)

  • Experience or interest in the construction industry (preferred, but not essential)

    • TPC certification preferred, but not essential

  • Technology skills:

    • Good knowledge of MS Office programs;

    • Experience with CRM systems, advanced user, manages and analyses reports / dashboards (preferably) Salesforce

    • Preferably experience with ERP systems, such as SAP

  • Language skills:

    • Native Spanish speaker,

    • Advanced (conversational) English skills for internal communication,

  • Divers license: Full, valid driving license
