About The Role

Based within the BauWatch ARC at Unit 5, Hayfield Business Park, Auckley, Doncaster DN9 3FL and working within the fast-growing BauWatch UK operations and ARC team, we’re looking for ARC Operators to join our expanding operations and fulfilment team.

As an ARC Operator, you’ll work from the monitoring centre to monitor and respond to security issues and incidents using a range of systems. To provide a professional and efficient service to all responses following company procedures and using initiative.

Your role is key to delivering our brand promise of outstanding customer satisfaction and service, so a customer-focused attitude is imperative!



About You

  • Customer Service: Call centre or administration experience required
  • SC level or above Government security clearance (or willing to obtain this upon appointment to role)
  • Analyse: Ability to analyse available information, determine the root cause and establish the appropriate response and escalation to each incident
  • Ability to use technology: Competent working knowledge of Word, Excel and all other Microsoft applications. Experience of CCTV cameras and the security industry.
  • Quality-oriented: Committed to achieving and maintaining the intended quality. Strives for improvement. Convinces others of the importance of quality.

What’s On Offer:

  • This is a 24/7 operation role and will involve working mornings, afternoons, nights, weekends and Bank Holidays
  • Shifts of 12 hours, 4 days on/4 days off between 00:00 – 24:00 hours.

Job requirements

Key Tasks to Include:

  • Operate and monitor all systems within the Alarm Receiving Centre and ensure that emergency alarm response activities are undertaken in accordance with company operating procedures, legislation, and Government guidance
  • To monitor all systems within the control room in an efficient manner. Ensuring that all work is undertaken in compliance with the operating procedures, legislation, and codes of practice.
  • Liaise with Police, other agencies, and members of staff to coordinate the appropriate emergency response in accordance with company procedures
  • Report all events and actions taken in a clear, legible, and accurate written format.
  • Provide efficient and courteous telephone answering service and deal efficiently with all enquiries.
  • Report equipment failure to maximise full operation of the system.
    Complete formal write up of incidents into incident logs
  • To adhere to all ARC rules and compliance with BS5979, BS8418 & ISO9001:2008
  • To maintain information security in accordance with the Data Protection Act
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned relevant to your role.
