Job description

As part of the Group HR team you will be responsible for HR for the UK & Ireland entities. As their Business Partner you will be responsible for developing, implementing and executing first class HR services that contribute to the successful realization of the company strategy.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Strategic HR Partnership

    • Collaborate with business leaders to align HR strategies with business objectives

    • Provide expert guidance on organizational design, workforce planning, and change management

  • Employee Relations

    • Act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on employee relations issues

    • Handle complex employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards

  • Performance Management

    • Drive performance management processes including goal setting, feedback, and evaluations

    • Coach managers on performance issues and development planning

  • Talent Management & Development

    • Support talent reviews and succession planning initiatives

    • Partner with Learning & Development to identify skill gaps and recommend development programs

  • Data-Driven Decision Making

    • Analyse HR metrics (turnover, engagement, absenteeism) to influence business decisions

    • Present insights and recommend actions based on workforce data

  • Organisational Development

    • Support cultural initiatives and foster employee engagement

    • Partner with leadership on change management and team effectiveness efforts

  • Compensation & Benefits Support

    • Advise on compensation decisions, including salary reviews, internal moves and promotions, incentives and benefit schemes

  • Compliance and Risk Management

    • Ensure HR policies and procedures comply with local employment laws and regulations

    • Guide the business on legal and regulatory HR matters

  • Workforce Planning and Recruitment Support

    • Partner with Talent Acquisition to anticipate and address hiring needs

    • Support onboarding and integration of new hires in the business entities

  • HR Program Implementation

    • Lead or support Group and local HR initiatives such as engagement surveys, DEI programs, and wellness campaigns

    • Act as the local champion for enterprise-wide HR initiatives

Job requirements

Key competencies and experience for success include:

  • Experience of working within a matrix organisation

  • Demonstratable influencing skills at a senior level

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to build relationships within an organization

  • Pragmatic, commercial and hands-on approach, with previous involvement within HR strategy design and implementation.

  • Sound knowledge of employment legislation (UK – essential; Ireland – desirable)

  • A successfully completed degree in human resources or business administration; or CIPD accredited; and / or  8 years of relevant professional experience in an operational and generalist HR function

  • Data and System savvy 

  • Strong project management skills  

  • Curiosity and a desire to learn

  • Experience of the hire or security business would be desirable but not essential
