We are looking for a Regional Sales Manager (m/f/d) (based in Valencia)


As Regional Sales Manager you will work closely with the Managing Director Spain to expand our customer base and achieve sales targets for a specific region of our company, while taking accountability for reaching targets and growth objectives. Ultimately, you will manage your region and team to ensure that you meet or exceed the expectations of our business targets and contributes to our company’s success in the long run.


What would be your responsibilities and duties?

  • Managing and leading regional sales teams to achieve sales targets and inspire high performance in line with set KPIs and targets
  • Identifying and acquiring new customers, as well as up-selling to existing customer bases across the region
  • Effectively managing and driving the sales cycle from prospection through to successful closure
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key customers and accounts for growth and retention
  • Building strong relationships with accounts in the region
  • Growing a sustainable and robust sales pipeline and ensuring accurate and rigorous forecasting and account planning
  • Developing & implementing sales strategies and plans to meet revenue goals
  • Conducting market research and competitor analysis in the region
  • Prepare regular reports and conduct monthly meetings to review performance
  • Representing the company at regional events and trade shows
  • Analyzing market trends and competitors’ activities in the region
  • Developing and managing regional sales budgets and expenses
  • Maximise revenue and profits in all sales opportunities
  • Advising the managing director, product management and group management on opportunities and threats in the market and possible adjustment of the commercial strategy based on his/her own experiences and data collected.
  • Full compliance with all H&S requirements, including use of correct PPE at all times.

Job requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience of managing small/regional teams of sales representatives while taking accountability for reaching targets and growth objectives. You will possess solid and credible relationships with key decision-makers in the region; be highly goal-oriented and possess excellent communication & interpersonal skills; and have strong experience in B2B sales and possess the ability to prospect and manage senior-level relationships.

Formal qualifications

  • Sales experience:
    • § Senior secondary vocational education
    • § 7+ years sales experience
    • § Business development in B2B
  • Experience of managing teams:
    • 5+ years managing sales teams
    • § Both in person and remotely to achieve and exceed KPIs and targets
    • § Demonstrable experience of coaching sales techniques and skills and understanding how to target areas where improvement is required
  • Happy to travel around Spain: including overnight stays (paid expenses)
  • Experience or interest to visit construction sites:
    • Previous experience of work or relationships in the construction industry
    • Ideally TPC certification
  • Technology skills:
    • Good knowledge of MS Office programs;
    • Preferably experience with CRM systems, such as Salesforce
    • Preferably experience with ERP systems, such as SAP
  • Language skills:
    • Native Spanish speaker,
    • Advanced (conversational) English skills for internal communication,
    • Knowledge of Catalan is a plus
  • Divers license: Full, valid driving license
