Job description

About the Role

You will be working as part of our fast-growing BW UK Operations and Fulfilment team, playing a key role in ensuring our products are delivered to customer sites safely, on time, and ready for operation. Delivering an exceptional customer experience is central to this role, with every interaction and activity focused on meeting and exceeding customer expectations.

As a Tower Placement Driver, you will be responsible for the safe loading, transportation and delivery of tower units to customer sites. Using a truck-mounted crane, you will position the tower in the agreed location and complete the physical set-up, including connecting power and preparing the unit for service. You will work closely with the Service team to support the commissioning process and ensure the tower is operational and live at the customer’s site. In addition to operational responsibilities, you will act as a representative of the business on site. You will identify opportunities to support revenue growth by promoting relevant products and services to customers. This includes engaging with customers professionally, recognising potential needs, and contributing to the identification, negotiation and closure of opportunities that support increased market and sector penetration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Load and unload vehicles using a forklift and lorry-mounted crane (HIAB) in accordance with safe working procedures.

  • Operate the company HGV Class 2 delivery vehicle on a national basis, completing deliveries and collections across the UK, including overnight stays where operationally required.

  • Deliver and collect temporary security towers and associated equipment to and from customer sites.

  • Install, position and set up security towers on customer sites in line with operational procedures and safety standards.

  • Conduct basic maintenance, inspections and fault identification on tower and scout units, escalating issues where necessary (training will be provided).

  • Liaise on-site with Video Experts (VE), the Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) and other internal departments to ensure equipment is operational and functioning as required.

  • Maintain professional interaction with customers and site representatives, ensuring a consistently high standard of service delivery.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across operations, planning and engineering teams to support service delivery.

  • When not engaged in driving or installation duties, provide operational support to local hubs and operational teams, including asset preparation, stock management and equipment readiness.
