Job description

About the role

As a Driver you will be working as part of our fast-growing BauWatch UK operations and fulfilment team. You will ensure that our products arrive to our customers site at the stated time and ready for operation! Customer experience will be the prime focus of your role ensuring that our every activity exceeds our customer’s expectation.

You are responsible for loading the truck, delivering the tower to the site and placing it in the agreed location using a truck mounted crane. Once in position, the Driver is required to physically set-up the tower, connect power and contact the Service team to assist during the process to make the tower live at our customer’s site.

Key Tasks to Include:

  • Driving a 3.5 tonne van safely and professionally

  • Towing and manoeuvring trailers when required

  • Delivering equipment/materials to customer sites

  • Completing daily vehicle checks and maintaining cleanliness of vehicles

  • Loading and unloading goods safely

  • Ensuring deliveries are completed on time and paperwork is accurate

  • Assisting with service jobs / maintenance to current assets on customers sites

Job requirements

About You

Qualifications

  • Qualified Driver:

    o Full driving licence valid in UK

    • Experience driving 3.5T vehicles

    • HGV Class 2

    • Minimum of 2 years with no major infringements

  • Experience of Construction Sites:

    o Previous experience of multi-drop delivery driving in a construction environment.

    o Ideally CSCS card

  • Loading Experience:

    o Must be confident and competent towing trailers

    o Good knowledge of UK roads and driving regulations

    o Excellent timekeeping and communication skills

    o Flexible and willing to work occasional overtime if required

  • Desirable

    Previous delivery or construction industry experience

    Trailer towing qualification/licence experience

    Forklift or CSCS card beneficial but not essential

  • Happy to travel/stay away overnight: This is a national driving role and overnight stays will be expected, with associated compensation and expenses.
