Job description

As our Website Optimisation Manager, you own bauwatch.com as a strategic B2B growth platform across the 10 European markets, we operate in. You are responsible for both the long-term development of the website and its day-to-day operational performance.

The role combines strategic ownership, operational management and cross-country collaboration, ensuring the website consistently supports demand generation, lead quality and brand visibility.

You work closely with Country Marketing Managers to align on website performance, content priorities and optimisation opportunities across markets, while maintaining a scalable global structure.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Website Performance (CRO & UX, operational SEO)

  • Continuously monitor website performance and identify optimisation opportunities.

  • Drive improvements in operational SEO, conversion rate, user experience and engagement.

  • Develop and manage a testing and optimisation roadmap.

  • Analyse website data and user behaviour to generate actionable insights.

  • Ensure scalable website structures that support multi-market content and growth.

2. Agency & Delivery Management

  • Manage external web development agency.

  • Translate business needs into clear technical and UX briefs.

  • Oversee delivery of website improvements, releases and new features.

  • Ensure quality, timelines and performance of all website developments.

3. Reporting & Commercial Impact

  • Define and monitor key website KPIs across markets

  • Translate performance data into clear insights for marketing leadership

  • Demonstrate the website’s contribution to lead generation and pipeline quality

 4. Website Ownership & Strategy

  • Own bauwatch.com as BauWatch’s central digital growth platform

  • Define and manage the website strategy, roadmap and priorities

  • Balance global consistency with local market needs across 10 European countries

  • Ensure the website continuously evolves to support business growth and demand generation

5. Website Operations & Country Collaboration

  • Manage or support the day-to-day performance and development of the website together and in collaboration with the country marketing teams

  • Drive ongoing optimisation in close collaboration with Country Marketing Managers

  • Align website priorities and improvements with country marketing initiatives

  • Run regular website performance reviews with local marketing teams

  • Share best practices and insights across markets to improve performance

4. CMS Governance & Enablement (Storyblok)

  • Act as the internal owner of Storyblok and the website architecture

  • Define templates, modules and governance guidelines together with country marketing teams

  • Enable country marketing teams to manage and publish content effectively

  • Maintain consistency of structure, design and functionality across markets

Job requirements

About You

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to turn data into actionable improvements

  • Proven experience managing B2B websites and digital performance in a multi-country-website environment

  • Strong understanding of CRO, UX, website analytics and SEO

  • Experience working with CMS platforms (ideally headless CMS such as Storyblok)

  • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills

  • Experience working with multi-country marketing teams

  • Ability to translate business needs into clear digital solutions

Job requirements

You will fit with us if you have the following to offer

  • Proven track record of improving website performance metrics such as organic traffic, conversion rates, engagement and lead generation.

  • You have at least 3 years of professional experience in a similar position in managing websites across multiple European countries that support B2B lead generation.

  • A strong understanding of CRO, SEO, UX, and Analytics.

  • Experience working within a Matrix organisation.

  • Excellent coordination and project management skills, working with internal and external stakeholders, colleagues, external agencies and consultants.

  • You are independent with positive energy, a team player and have very good communication and presentation skills.

  • You have a very good command of written and spoken English as well as either German or Dutch.

  • With your analytical mindset, you can translate data into actionable measures.

  • You are creative and have a passion for staying ahead of technology trends.
