Job description

The role

As an Operational Excellence Specialist at BauWatch, you will play a key role in driving Continuous Improvement, Customer Experience (CX), Customer Journey management, Lean culture, and Daily Performance Management (DPM) across multiple countries. You will help shape how we work as an organization by improving processes, strengthening operational performance, embedding customer-centric thinking, and enabling data-driven decision making. From customer feedback and operational insights to Lean initiatives, DPM maturity, and cross-country standardization, you will help further strengthen BauWatch’s position as an efficient, scalable, and customer-focused organization while continuously improving the way we operate across Europe.

You work closely with local operations, customer-facing teams, and Group Functions to improve ways of working, strengthen Daily Performance Management (DPM), enhance customer journeys, and support a culture of continuous improvement. You help ensure that customer feedback, operational KPIs, and frontline insights are converted into measurable actions that improve service quality, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. At the same time, you contribute to the further development of Lean culture, process standardization, and data-driven performance management across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

  • Support and execute continuous improvement initiatives across countries and departments.

  • Analyze operational processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and customer experience.

  • Facilitate problem-solving and RCCM activities to address operational challenges and recurring issues.

  • Support standardization of processes and ways of working across countries.

2. Customer Experience (CX) & Customer Journey

  • Support Customer Journey and CX improvement initiatives across the organization.

  • Help manage customer feedback programs such as cNPS and CSAT.

  • Analyze customer feedback, operational data, and trends to identify improvement opportunities.

  • Support closed-loop feedback processes to ensure customer insights lead to concrete actions.

  • Contribute to the development of customer-focused standards and best practices.

 

3. Daily Performance Management (DPM) & Lean

  • Support the rollout and maturity of Daily Performance Management across countries.

  • Help teams implement Lean principles, visual management, and performance routines.

  • Facilitate workshops, Gemba activities, and continuous improvement sessions.

  • Support cultural development towards ownership, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.

  • Contribute to building a strong Lean and Operational Excellence culture within BauWatch.

4. Data, Reporting & Insights

  • Translate operational and customer data into actionable insights and improvement opportunities.

  • Support KPI development, reporting, and performance tracking across countries.

  • Work with Power BI, operational dashboards, and reporting tools to improve visibility and decision making.

  • Help measure the impact of improvement initiatives and monitor progress over time.

  • Support data-driven decision making across operations and customer experience activities.

5. Cross-Functional & International Collaboration

  • Work closely with Operations, ARC teams, Sales, Customer Care, Product Management, IT, and other Functions.

  • Support alignment and knowledge sharing across countries.

  • Help identify and share best practices across teams and regions.

  • Contribute to international Operational Excellence and transformation initiatives.

  • Support training, communication, and engagement activities related to Operational Excellence and Lean.

You will report directly to the Group Operational Excellence Manager and work closely with country leadership and Group Functions.

Job requirements

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in Operational Excellence, Continuous Improvement, CX, Lean, or process improvement roles.

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into practical improvements.

  • Experience with KPI reporting, dashboards, and operational performance analysis.

  • Experience with Lean, DPM, RCCM, or continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Experience with Customer Experience and Customer Journey improvement initiatives.

  • Experience working in an international or multi-site environment is a plus.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with operational and support teams.

  • Willingness to travel between BauWatch locations in Europe.

  • Excellent communication skills in English; additional European languages are a plus.

  • Hands-on, pragmatic, structured, enthusiastic, and eager to make impact.
