Job description
Join BauWatch as We Launch in Portugal!
Who We Are
BauWatch is Europe's leading provider of temporary security solutions, delivering more than 44,000 projects across 11 countries and growing by over 30% year on year.
Our vision is simple:
"Zero incidents, faster project delivery, through connected site intelligence that protects from design to completion."
We combine intelligent surveillance towers, advanced sensors, access control solutions, edge devices, fleet management and 24/7 remote monitoring into one connected ecosystem. Construction sites are among the most challenging and high-risk working environments, and we're transforming the industry by using technology to detect security and safety risks before they become incidents.
Backed by a leading private equity investor and with successful operations across Europe, BauWatch is now launching in Portugal.
This is a rare opportunity to become one of the founding members of our Portuguese team. You won't simply be joining an established organisation - you'll play a key role in building our local presence, shaping our commercial success and contributing directly to the long-term growth of BauWatch in Portugal.
The Role
As our first Service Technician in Portugal, based in Lisbon, you will play a vital role in establishing and supporting BauWatch's operational activities across the Portuguese market.
Working closely with the Managing Director, the Sales team in Portugal and the Operations team in Spain, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining and troubleshooting our intelligent security solutions at customer sites throughout Portugal. As one of the first employees in the country, you'll help build our operational standards while supporting the Sales team with technical expertise and ensuring every project is delivered to the highest standard.
You will also act as the key operational link between Portugal and our established Operations team in Spain, ensuring effective coordination of installations, maintenance activities, logistics, technical support and operational best practices. Your contribution will be essential in delivering an exceptional customer experience and supporting BauWatch's long-term growth in Portugal.
Key Responsibilities
Install, commission and configure BauWatch's temporary security solutions, including CCTV towers, access control systems and connected devices, at customer sites across Portugal.
Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues both remotely and on-site, ensuring minimal downtime and exceptional customer service.
Carry out preventive maintenance, inspections, repairs and equipment testing in accordance with BauWatch standards and applicable safety regulations.
Conduct regular service visits to customer sites to ensure all equipment remains fully operational throughout the rental period.
Support the successful handover of new projects from Sales to Operations, ensuring installations are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
Collaborate with colleagues across Spain and Portugal to share technical knowledge, resolve complex issues and ensure consistent service standards across both countries.
Manage local stock, spare parts, tools and company vehicle inventory, ensuring all required materials are available for planned and emergency interventions.
Maintain accurate installation records, service reports and technical documentation using BauWatch's digital systems.
Identify opportunities to improve operational processes, equipment reliability and customer satisfaction, actively contributing to the continuous development of the Portuguese operation.
Identify opportunities for additional products or services during customer visits and communicate these to the Sales team to support further business growth.
Participate in technical training and continuously develop your knowledge of BauWatch's products, technologies and operational procedures.
Represent BauWatch professionally on customer sites, consistently delivering an outstanding customer experience and acting as an ambassador for the brand.
