Job description
Operational excellence runs in your DNA. You thrive in structured, high-impact environments and know how to turn complexity into clarity. As an Operational Excellence Specialist, you play a key role in shaping how BauWatch operates today and in the future.
From process mapping and continuous improvement to performance management and project governance, you help build a strong, scalable, and efficient organization across functions and countries. By creating the right structures, standards, and ways of working, you enable teams to deliver better outcomes with less friction. Ready to make an impact? Join us and help drive operational excellence at scale.
The role
As an Operational Excellence Specialist, you play a central role in improving and standardising end-to-end processes across BauWatch. You are responsible for identifying, mapping, and improving cross-functional processes, ensuring they are efficient, scalable, and well governed.
You work closely with local teams, process owners, and key stakeholders to develop and embed standard ways of working, performance standards, and clear ownership. You support sustainable improvement by coordinating continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring alignment with the Project Management Process (PMP).
At the same time, you support digitalisation and data-driven improvement initiatives by translating operational needs into practical solutions. You turn insights from performance data, project outcomes, and stakeholder feedback into concrete improvements that increase transparency, speed, and effectiveness across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Process Mapping & Improvement
Map end-to-end processes across functions and countries to create clarity and transparency.
Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and risks, and translate them into concrete improvement initiatives.
Design and execute continuous improvement roadmaps that support business performance and scalability.
Define and monitor KPIs to measure process performance and improvement impact.
2. Project Management Process (PMP) Coordination
Coordinate and continuously improve the Project Management Process (PMP) across the organisation.
Support project owners with clear standards, templates, governance, and ways of working.
Ensure consistency in how projects are initiated, prioritised, executed, and evaluated.
Track portfolio progress and help create transparency on priorities, dependencies, and outcomes.
3. Continuous Improvement & Lean Culture
Apply Lean, problem-solving, and Daily Performance Management (DPM) principles to improve processes.
Facilitate workshops and problem-solving sessions with cross-functional teams.
Support a culture of ownership, “First Time Right,” and continuous improvement.
Enable teams to improve their own processes through structured methods and clear standards.
4. Digitalisation & Data-Driven Improvement
Support automation and digital improvement initiatives by translating process needs into requirements.
Use data and analytics to identify improvement opportunities and measure results.
Collaborate with IT, Product, and other Group Functions to enable smarter and more efficient ways of working.
5. Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Act as a linking pin between teams, functions, and countries.
Align process improvements with strategic priorities and organisational goals.
Support knowledge sharing and best-practice adoption across the organisation.
You will report directly to the Group Operational Excellence Manager and work closely with stakeholders in the Country and Group Functions.
